How to apply in just a few steps

  1. Complete the online Student Application and submit it electronically via this online application form.
  2. Submit an application packet containing three collated copies of:
    • A completed Application Cover Sheet.
    • An essay of no more than one page (double-spaced) which addresses your interest in the topics of the seminar; your ability to actively participate in a college-level educational experience; and any special perspectives, skills, or interests which you would bring to the seminar.
    • A one-page letter of recommendation from a current or past Social Studies teacher. (Each copy of the letter should be sealed in an envelope with your teacher’s signature across the seal.)

    Also include one copy of each of the following (click here to download these forms):

    • A signed Student Code of Conduct and Parental Release form.
    • A completed Student Medical Information form.
    • A completed Scholarship Application with supporting documentation (if applying for scholarship funds).
    • A processing fee of $25 (make check payable to the Bill of Rights Institute).

50% Deposit ($748) Due:
May 5, 2008, or send us one payment of $1,346—a 10% savings!

Eligibility

You must meet all the following criteria:

  • Attend a school (public, private, charter, or home)
  • Expect to be in Grade 11 or 12 during the 2008- 2009 school year
  • Achieve a GPA of at least 3.2 in all social studies classes (through the Fall 2007 semester)
  • Demonstrate leadership ability and interest in the topic of the seminar
